Have a Great Thursday!

This day has just gone by way too fast – but at least I finally have a clean apartment and some clean clothes! Actually, this whole week has just flown by. Very busy, but fun. And next week it’s spring break! Now I only have a few more minutes to get ready before I’m heading out the door again.

So I’m going to leave you with this beautiful picture and quote. I know that it’s definitely true for me!

Saturday Night at Home

It’s Saturday night and Andy just left to hang out with friends. Since my back has been hurting badly for a couple of days, and I don’t have a chiropractor appointment until Monday, I’m staying in instead of being social. However, I’m still pretty sure I’ll have a fun night all by myself. You see, Andy took my on a Kroger run to get chocolate, wine, and new nail polishes, so I have plenty of stuff to keep me entertained. And there’s my blog, tv, and video games… Now tell me… Does this make me slightly pathetic?

Oh well, everyone has nights where they would rather stay in and relax. I might even take a bath!
And these pink glitter polishes are adorable. I’ll post pictures of one of them later.

On A Rainy Day

Isn’t it weird how little it takes to make or break someone’s day? Today I’d been in a terrible mood because my lower back was hurting like hell, and it didn’t help that the rain was pouring down outside, and that my 20 minute errand suddenly took over an hour. In other words, it was one of those days.

Then I get a message from Luchessa telling me that I’d won her giveaway and suddenly I was smiling again! The timing for this prize was really perfect too. It’s right before Valentine’s and I’ve completely fallen in love with glittery polishes lately. I can’t wait to try out these beauties.
Have you tried anything from Essence? I have to admit that I’d never heard of them before this.

Tornado Watch

Me and Andy were headed to the mall today around 4 o’clock when the sky completely opened up. It had been gray and rainy all day, but when we left it was almost dry. 10 minutes in it started raining so hard that we literally couldn’t see anything. That’s when Andy decides to tell me that we’d been on tornado watch all day… So shopping probably wasn’t a great choice. We soon had to give up and find a different way home when the roads started getting flooded. It was actually really scary, and I was happy to get back home safely again. At least I didn’t have an excuse to spend any money!

There was no real damage done in Athens, but just a few hours away a few houses and trees were brought down by the strong winds, and one man lost his life. I hope everyone else is doing okay!

Well, this was supposed to be my comfortable shopping outfit, although I didn’t get to wear it anywhere. I’ve really fallen in love with this knitted sweater from Forever 21. It is so warm – I can hardly even wear it inside – and very comfortable. It just sucks that we don’t have a store in Athens.

Happy Days

Do you ever just wake up in the morning and feel happy for no good reason? Do you grab a coffee and walk outside, and smile because it’s going to be a good day? That’s how my morning has been today. Which is saying something for someone who normally hates getting out of the bed! I had a chiropractor appointment to get to, the sun was shining and it was almost too warm to wear a sweater, and a song I love was playing on the radio. Even now I’m enjoying my second cup of coffee while singing along to random songs on youtube.

Anyway. I hope your morning was just as great! It’s always great to start the week off right.

Daylight Outfit Pictures

I decided that I’m going to start taking more laid-back, everyday outfit pictures from no on. Hopefully you’ll enjoy them. There is no reason to only post whenever I’m dressed up to go somewhere, right?
Most days I go for a semi-casual look, but I like feeling a bit dressed up – thus the heels and makeup.
For once I got around to taking the pictures before the sun went down! I like the result so much better.
Tank Top: Gina Tricot. Top: Wet Seal. Jeans: Body Central. Boots: DSW.

Today’s Plans

The first item on the agenda today is to change a flat tire… The air has been slowly seeping out for days, and now it really can’t be postponed any longer. PS: Santa, no one really wants a flat tire for Christmas! Besides, I had another one less than two months ago and I really feel like that was enough.

Afterwards we’re going shopping – for Andy! He’s the kind of guy who never wants anything. And if he does, he just goes and buys it himself. So birthdays and Christmases are kind of hard for me, hehe. This year the only thing he really needed was new clothes, but he can also be kind of picky. So I went with a gift card and a coupon for a free shopping trip and dinner. It should be fun.

Oh, and btw. This is why I’ve given up outfit posts while I’ve been on vacation. I feel like I’ve spent the majority of my time on this couch, eating good food, watching movies, playing games, and reading. And I’ve pretty much been wearing sweatpants every day! So comfy, but not very fashionable, haha.
